Attainableness

by car
  • From Utrecht, The Hague or Rotterdam take the highway A 13 exit Delft-Zuid, direction of the Technical University Delft (TU Delft).
  • Keep the right traffic lane until the end of the exit, and then get into the left lane.
  • At the crossroad turn left. Follow the traffic signs "Rotterdamseweg" and "Zwetheul".
  • Drive under the flyover and follow the road in a curve to the right.
  • At the first crossroad turn left.
  • At the following crossroad turn right.
  • Drive to the end of the road and turn left: this is the Rotterdamseweg.
  • After about one kilometre you will see at the right side shipyard Bocxe (huge cranes).
  • Slow down here 'cause at the yellow electricity house (and a big number plate on which 205) you will have to turn left and have to drive straight on the long path to World Art Delft.
Public transport
  • Bus 129 from The Hague (Kijkduin) to Rotterdam, two times per hour, see www.conexxion.nl
  • You can get on at railway station Rijswijk and the Central Station of Delft (for other places please visit the website)
  • Get out at shipyard Bocxe.
  • At the same road, diagonal facing the shipyard is Wold Art Delft situated.
  • At the small yellow electricity house (and the big number plate 205) you'll have to walk down the path.
  • N.B.: there is also a bus nr 129 only going to the Technical University Delft and not further to the Rotterdamseweg.

Guided tours

Guided tours are available for ten people or more.
The costs are 100 euros (including coffee and tea).
There are also art workshops for ten people or more.
The costs are 250 euros (including materials, coffee, tea and pastry).

Who is WAD?

Goal
The goal of the Foundation World Art Delft is to pay attention to the cultural richness throughout the world. World art from afar and nearby has to colour our modern globalizing society. World Art Delft wants to reach its goal by organizing exhibitions and educational events.

Mission
The most important mission of World Art Delft is: world art as a source of inspiration to our society. She wants to bridge cultural boundaries whether it is about differences or similarities, individuals or large sections. For art gives an insight in each other's culture which may lead to a better communication.





Where is WAD?

In the midst of the countryside of the recreation area of Midden-Delfland

WAD is situated between the cities Delft and Rotterdam among the recreation area of Midden-Delfland. The location is an attractive place in the landscape that is crossed by cycle tracks.

WAD has a huge exhibition space and an upstairs room for educational projects. There is also a possibility for meetings and workshops third parties. There is an attractive garden of sculptures around the complex.
