Sayake Abe
Sayake Abe was born in Japan in 1976 but now she lives in Utrecht. She usually makes etchings and drawings. Maybe it is the influence of the Japanese culture, but she believes that the body is connected to nature. She demonstrates that in the three paintings she has made. The first shows a normal tree, in the second you will see the passing of time and in the third we recognize a human being. She has an idea in her head but she is not fixed on it, she will see in the end how the piece of art worked out. She got the inspiration for this work from the environment of World Art Delft, she saw the trees and the idea developed. The message behind this work is that people should be more relaxed, more related with nature and above all: more happy.
