Heide Welslau
Heide Welslau was born in Paderborn (Germany) in 1962, where she still lives. She makes paintings and installations, but for this symposium she made something different. She created a photographic work. Because she went through the disease of cancer herself so she had a very clear idea of what to do. The work, in which she shows her red bandana being washed in water and hanging in a tree to be cleaned by fresh air, is called 'Purify'. She wants to give the message to be cleaned inside your body and be conscious of what we do to the world, of our relationship to the world and how we should take care of the environment.
